Protection of works of art exhibited in an antique building

Italy

Padua

The renowned building, Palazzo Zabarella, the museum of the city of Padua, which hosts numerous exhibitions of works by modern artists and cultural events of international importance, has been subject to a renovation and requalification of its technical installations.
The building, one of the oldest and most evocative buildings in Padua, has a yearly average of 200,000 visitors who come to the exhibitions held there.
The main criticality was linked to considerable fluctuations in the concentration of humidity in the air due to the variability of the influx of visitors.
Not being able to intervene either on the masonry structures, or on the decorations, modifying the hydronic, electrical and condensate drain networks was therefore avoided and a new technical installation has been installed. It is, specifically, a high-efficiency thermo-refrigerator generator, on which an EBARA DWC centrifugal pump with Victaulic connection has been installed.
